A cheerful cement mixer truck with big round eyes, raised eyebrows and a wide smile sits in front of a house that's only half built. The house has a wooden roof frame, a square window opening and a doorway, and every brick is outlined, so there's lots to color. On the truck you'll find a large striped mixing drum, a ladder and chute at the back, and three sets of wheels with detailed hubcaps. A neat stack of bricks sits on the left in front, and an empty wheelbarrow waits on the right. Fluffy clouds, round bushes and small tufts of grass fill in behind. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the red parts of the truck cab, the front bumper and the smile in cherry red, and fill the wheel rims and trim in scarlet red.
- 2Color the windshield and the left and right sides of the front in sky blue, then fill the headlight with sunny yellow, leaving the eye whites white.
- 3Paint the cement mixer drum with alternating stripes of tangerine orange and sunny yellow, and color the chute at the back in sunny yellow too.
- 4Fill the building walls and bricks with light gray, keep the windows and the door white, and color the wood beams and posts in honey yellow.
- 5Color the tires and wheels in charcoal gray with medium gray hubs, make the wheelbarrow tray ocean blue, and color the leafy trees and bushes in leafy green with the clouds in sky blue.
- 6Optional: add a little caramel brown to the roof beams and a bit of shading on the drum to give the truck more depth.
