The tow truck driver, wearing a cap, leans out of the cab window and waves while the boom and hanging chain hook lift the front end of a small smiling car. That little car has big eyes, a happy open mouth and rosy cheeks, so it seems to be enjoying the ride. The truck has a light bar on the roof, a round headlight, a side mirror and big wheels, and it travels along a road with dashed lane lines. Grass tufts line the roadside, puffy bushes rise behind the cars and two fluffy clouds drift above. Large, clear shapes make this a good free printable for preschoolers and early elementary kids. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the two clouds and the small tufts of sky with pale blue, leaving the open background white.
- 2Fill the road and the ground strip with silver gray, then add light gray to the curb lines and the road shoulder.
- 3Color the tow truck body, its crane arm and the top of the light bar with tomato red and orange, keeping the windows open.
- 4Fill the little car with bright blue, then use leafy green for the bushes and light green for the grass tufts.
- 5Add charcoal gray to all tires, hubs, the grille and the chain, then color the headlights golden yellow and the faces and waving hand peach, leaving the car's eye whites white.
- 6Optional: Add a few darker strokes of charcoal gray or royal blue along the shaded sides of the truck and car for depth.
