Little ones who like vehicles with personality will enjoy this tram, with its big sparkly eyes, rosy cheeks and curved smile, as it rolls around a bend in the tracks. A pantograph on top connects to overhead wires that cross the sky. A tall vintage street lamp stands on the left, and city buildings with rooftops, chimneys and windows line both sides of the street. On the right, a leafy tree grows near the sidewalk. The tram has large front windows, side windows, a door and round headlights, so there are lots of different spaces to fill. Bright red or sunny yellow could go on the body, with soft blue in the windows to leave the glassy shine lines showing. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the big cream yellow areas first: the tram front face, the roof band, and the lower side panels, leaving the two eye whites white.
- 2Color the red stripes on the tram, the red roof cover, and the red bumper at the bottom in red, then add dark red to the lower door panels.
- 3Paint both large front windows and the side windows sky blue, and use pale blue for the small windows on the left building.
- 4Color the lamp post and its base dark teal, then fill the lantern glass and both round headlights in bright yellow.
- 5Color the tree leaves bright green and the trunk brown, then fill the building roofs with orange red and the chimney with warm amber.
- 6Finish the street and sidewalks in light gray, the rails and curbs in slate gray, and the wheels in charcoal gray. Optional: add a few light strokes of a darker shade on the tram sides for a bit of depth.
