- 1Fill the quarry walls and ledges on both sides with sandy tan, leaving the sky background white.
- 2Color the hills and bushes with grass green and leaf green, including the big hill on the right.
- 3Paint the cab, hood and lower truck body golden yellow, then fill the windshield with sky blue, keeping the two eye whites white.
- 4Color the dump bed's walls and rim with bright orange, and the lower inside panels with burnt orange.
- 5Fill the wheels and tires with charcoal gray, and the chassis and grille with slate gray, and the lift cylinder and headlights with pale gray.
- 6Color all the boulders and the rock pile with silver gray, keeping the bright gray highlights light. Optional: add a darker gray shadow under the rocks and truck for depth.
