A happy frog with big round eyes and spotted legs sits on a large lily pad up front, while a duck paddles across the calm water just behind. Across the pond, bushes, rocks and tall pine trees line the shore, and large leafy trees frame both sides. Mountains rest in the distance beneath a big rainbow that arches over everything. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the pond water: color the large water areas around the lily pads and frog in sky blue, leaving the thin ripple lines white.
- 2Fill the frog's body in pale yellow, then add lime green spots on its legs, arms and sides.
- 3Color the lily pads and the big leaf-like pads in fresh green, and use moss green for the bushes and tree foliage around the pond.
- 4Paint the rainbow bands in red, orange, green, bright blue and violet from outside to inside, and leave the clouds and sky white.
- 5Add the duck in cream for its belly and brown for its head and wing, then color the pink water lilies and brown cattails.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker green on the shadowed sides of the lily pads and trees for depth.
