Police Officer's German Shepherd Partner in a Badge Vest
Coloring guide
Sitting upright in the grass with its tongue out and big pointed ears standing tall, this happy German shepherd looks ready to help. It's wearing a utility vest with straps across the chest and a buckle on the side, and a shield badge with a star sits right in the middle. You'll see fluffy fur around the cheeks and chest, a bushy tail curled up on the left, and little tufts of grass by the paws. Big eyes, a round nose and a wide grin make this a friendly choice for dog lovers and fans of community helpers. Younger kids can handle the bold outlines, while older ones can add detail to the fur. Tan and golden brown work for the coat, with black on the back and ears, and yellow or silver for the badge. Free to print at home or in class. This fits right in with our Police Officer coloring pages — see also For Girls and For Kids.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the head, body, legs, paws and tail with golden tan, leaving the lighter fur strands uncolored for a soft look.
- 2Color the inside of both ears and the tongue with soft pink.
- 3Color the vest, its straps and belts with royal blue, and fill the buckle and the shadowed fur on the back, shoulders, cheeks and ear tips with dark charcoal.
- 4Color the badge shield edges and rim with light gray, then fill the star in the middle with golden yellow.
- 5Color the nose dark charcoal and keep the eye whites and small highlights white.
- 6Optional: add a few darker strokes of dark charcoal along the edges of the golden tan fur to make the dog look fluffier.
