Strolling Giraffe and Acacia Trees in the Sunshine
Coloring guide
A friendly, grinning giraffe walks across the grassland with one front leg lifted mid-step, and a round sun with long rays shines above. Two flat-topped acacia trees stand far behind it, along with low rolling hills and a row of rounded bushes. Small grass tufts dot the ground. The giraffe has two knobby horns, a pointed ear, a bright eye, a tufted tail and big patches that are simple to color. Wide shapes and clear outlines suit young kids with crayons or chunky markers. Try golden yellow with warm orange-brown patches on the giraffe, soft greens on the trees and a bright yellow sun. Save it as a free PDF for a quiet moment of coloring. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the sun and the giraffe's body and legs in golden yellow, leaving small gaps where the highlights will stay white.
- 2Color the hills, bushes and the grassy ground in light green, and the acacia tree canopies in leaf green with forest green shading underneath.
- 3Fill the giraffe's spots with caramel brown, using tan brown for the spot on the tree trunk and amber orange for a few lower leg patches.
- 4Color the mane, horns, tail tip and hooves in chocolate brown or dark brown, and the inside of the ear in coral pink.
- 5Leave the tree branches and the sky white, and keep the small shine spots on the giraffe white as well.
- 6Optional: Add a little extra caramel brown along the edges of the body to give the giraffe a bit of shading.
