A happy kitten sits upright at the very top of a curved rainbow, its fluffy tail hanging down along the arc. It has big sparkly eyes, an open smile, long whiskers on both cheeks and small tufts of fur on its head and chest. The rainbow bands are wide and even, which makes them simple for little hands, and a puffy cloud rests at each end. Extra clouds and five little stars fill the open space around the kitten. Thick, clean outlines make this free printable a good match for preschoolers and early elementary kids. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the cat's head, back body and tail with tangerine orange, leaving the chest area for later.
- 2Color the cat's chest and the front of its body with cream white, keeping the eyes and the small highlight at the base of the tail white.
- 3Color the rainbow stripes from the outside in: bright red, tangerine orange, lemon yellow, and leaf green on the innermost band.
- 4Fill the three clouds with sky blue and the four stars with lemon yellow.
- 5Color the inside of both ears and the open mouth with soft pink and rose pink, and leave the big eyes white with their black pupils.
- 6Optional: Add light strokes of a darker shade of tangerine orange on the cat's head and tail to give them a little depth.
