Little Crab Holding an Octopus Tentacle

Coloring guide
On the sandy seafloor, a cheerful octopus with a big, spotted round head has one curly tentacle gently held by the pinching claw of a small, grinning crab. The crab looks up on tall eye stalks, and the octopus smiles right back with wide, happy eyes. Wavy seaweed grows on both sides, bubbles float above, and the sand holds a ridged scallop shell, a spiral snail shell and a smooth rock, with little dots and pebbles scattered around. The tentacles have rows of suckers that small hands can color one by one. A soft purple octopus with pink suckers pairs nicely with a bright orange-red crab, so the two friends stand out. This free printable suits preschoolers and early elementary kids, with both large areas and small details. This fits right in with our Octopus coloring pages — see also Dolphin and Shark.

- 3Fill the two scallop shells and the seaweed with tangerine orange and leafy green, then add the cream spiral shells and the light gray rock.
- 4Paint the octopus smile in rose pink and the spots on its head and the bubbles in royal blue and sky blue.
- 5Optional: Add a little darker purple or red along the edges for depth, and leave tiny white highlights in the eyes.
