Sandcastle Home for an Octopus Under the Sea

A cheerful little octopus peeks out of the arched window of a tall sandcastle, waving its curly tentacles over the stone ledge below. The castle has three towers with pointed roofs and small flags on top, plus arched windows, a rounded wooden door and scallop shell decorations on the walls. Striped tropical fish swim past floating bubbles, and tall wavy seaweed rises along the edges. Along the bottom you'll find coral, tube sponges, a starfish, a spiral snail shell and a big clam shell on the sandy seabed. With both large open areas and small details, it works well for kids who like some variety. A bright purple or coral pink octopus will stand out against a sandy yellow castle. This free printable is a good pick for ocean-themed days at home or in the classroom. If you enjoyed this Octopus page, don't miss our Dolphin and Shark coloring pages.
