Right in the center of this underwater scene sits a cheerful octopus with big round eyes, a wide smile and eight curly tentacles covered in little suckers. Next to it, an open wooden treasure chest overflows with coins and sparkling gems. Two striped fish swim near the top while bubbles float up through the water. Down on the sea floor you'll find coral, seaweed, a starfish, a spiral shell and a scallop shell. Tiny numbers are printed in every section. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the octopus head and all its tentacles in tangerine orange, leaving the two big eyes white and adding a few orange spots on the head.
- 2Fill the treasure chest wood in brown, then add golden yellow to the rim and corners and sunny yellow to the bands and lock.
- 3Color the starfish in tomato red and the scallop and spiral shells in coral pink, lavender and light blue, leaving the small dots white.
- 4Paint the sand at the bottom in sand yellow and the rocks and reefs in royal blue, with teal and light blue for the sea patches.
- 5Add leaf green and olive green to the seaweed, violet to the coral, and sky blue to the water bubbles and waves; use ocean blue and sunny yellow on the fish.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading along the edges of the tentacles and chest to make them pop.
