Raccoon Popping Out of a Trash Can
Coloring guide
This young raccoon pops up out of a round trash can, little paws on the rim and a big open-mouthed smile. The lid is tipped up over its head, and a fish skeleton and an apple core sit on top of it. Its bushy striped tail curls up behind the can. A wooden picket fence with round holes in the boards stands in back, and grass tufts fill the bottom corners. Big eyes, a bold face mask and wide stripes on the can make it a friendly page for kids who like clear shapes with a little extra detail. Soft gray and charcoal suit the fur, with a darker shade on the mask and tail rings. Warm brown looks right for the fence and bright green for the grass. - 2Fill the lid and its handle with sky blue, then add deep blue along the underside edge for depth.
- 3Color the fence boards warm tan, leaving the small round nail dots white.
- 4Fill the raccoon's head and tail with medium gray and light gray, add dark gray for the eye masks and tail stripes, and use coral pink for the inner ears and tongue.
- 5Color the fish pale yellow, the apple skin bright red and its bite flesh light cream, keeping the eye shines white.
- 6Optional: Add a little dark gray shading on the paws and the lower part of the trash can to make the picture feel more rounded.
