A cheerful seahorse floats upright in the middle of the page with a big round eye, a small smile and a curled spiral tail. Simple stripes cover its belly, and it has a scalloped fan-shaped fin on its back and a ruffled crest on top of its head. Four bubbles of different sizes drift up beside the snout. Wavy lines across the background show the water moving. Down at the bottom, a small tuft of seaweed grows on the left, and a smooth pebble sits on the sandy floor along with a few tiny dots. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the seahorse's head and body golden yellow, leaving the eye white and the small shine spot inside the eye untouched.
- 2Fill the big top crest and the back fin with coral red, working from the tips toward the body.
- 3Color the two side fins and the round fan fins near the tail tangerine orange.
- 4Fill the belly bands with lemon yellow, and color the curly tail with warm yellow, leaving the thin tail stripes pale yellow and the tail tip cream.
- 5Color the pebble light gray, the seaweed sprigs leaf green, and the bubbles sky blue, keeping their small shine spots white.
- 6Optional: Add a few soft darker strokes of golden yellow along the seahorse's edges to give it a little depth.
