Snail Relaxing on a Watermelon Wedge

Coloring guide
A happy snail with big sparkly eyes and a wide smile has settled on top of a juicy watermelon wedge. It has a large swirled shell, two long antennae with round tips, and a soft body stretched out along the fruit. The slice shows a thick rind edge and six teardrop seeds across the flesh, and two small grass tufts sit at the bottom on either side. Outlines are bold and roomy, though the spiral shell gives kids who love tracing curves a bit of a challenge. Orange and yellow stripes would suit the shell, with bright red for the melon, green for the rind and grass, and black for the seeds. - 2Fill the watermelon rind with pale cream, then add a leaf green stripe along the left edge of the rind.
- 3Color the snail shell warm brown, keeping the spiral lines visible.
- 4Fill the snail body and both antenna tips with butter yellow, and color the smile coral red.
- 5Color the seeds black, leaving the eye whites, grass and background white.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker brown at the edges of the shell and a touch of extra coral red at the bottom of the watermelon for depth.
