Smiling Steam Engine Facing Forward on Tracks

Smiling Steam Engine Facing Forward on Tracks coloring page

Coloring guide

A cheerful little steam locomotive faces straight ahead with a big round face, wide open eyes, rosy cheek lines and a friendly smile. Two round windows sit on the cab behind the face, and a tall funnel with a rounded cap rises up between them. The curved roof overhangs the cab, and the boxy sides of the engine stretch out on both sides of the face. At the bottom, the front buffer beam has a small square coupling in the middle, two round lamps or wheels sit on either side, and the engine rests on a short section of railway track with crossties. A wavy hill line runs behind it on each side. The large open areas are easy for small hands, so try coloring the body in one bold color and then using a second color for the funnel, windows and track. It also works well for talking about colors and shapes, like counting the circles on the page. This page is free to print and ready to color.
