Beach Day Squirtle Pal in Big Round Glasses
Coloring guide
This grinning little turtle wears big round glasses and stands on the sand with its mouth wide open, clearly ready for a day at the beach. The shell has a large spiral in the middle and a banded edge, so there are lots of sections to color. Two rows of wavy ocean lines run across the page behind it. Over on the right, a small sandcastle with a doorway and a flag on top sits behind a striped beach ball. Along the bottom you'll find a scallop seashell and a few pebbles. It's a free printable that works well for preschoolers and early elementary kids. A rainbow of colors would look great on the spiral shell, with bright blue for the waves. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the turtle's body, head, and legs in lime green, leaving the eye whites and the bright middle of each eye white.
- 2Color the sea and water in sky blue and light blue, with the wavy lines and the far right sea in light blue.
- 3Fill the shell swirl center in turquoise and the shell rim in teal, keeping the outer edges neat.
- 4Color the glasses frames in orange, then add the beach ball in red, yellow, lavender-free bright blue and lemon yellow panels, keeping the center cap white.
- 5Add the sand in sandy yellow, the sandcastle in tan with a brown door and red flag, and the seashells in lavender.
- 6Finish with pale yellow claws on the feet and the pink smile, then add a gray pebble and a brown pebble on the sand. Optional: add a few light shading lines on the shell for depth.
