Unicorn in a Meadow With Castle and Butterflies

A friendly young unicorn stands in a grassy meadow with its head turned to the side, big sparkling eyes and a gentle smile. Its long wavy mane runs down its neck, its full curly tail sweeps out behind, and a spiral horn rises from its forehead. Farther back, a stone castle with three pointed towers, little flags, arched windows and a big arched door waits at the end of a winding path, with rounded bushes on both sides. Three butterflies flutter in the sky and next to the unicorn, and daisy-style flowers and grass tufts fill the foreground. The big open shapes in the mane and tail are easy for small hands. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the mane and tail: color the long flowing strands with sunny yellow, bright yellow, and orchid pink, leaving the horse body white.
- 2Color the castle walls and roofs in baby pink and lavender purple, then fill the castle door and windows with a light touch of pale gold or leave them white.
- 3Fill the meadow with grass green and lime green, and color the bushes and hills in grass green as well.
- 4Add hot pink to the flower petals and bright yellow to the flower centers, and color the butterflies with bright yellow and light blue or lavender purple.
- 5Color the unicorn's horn with bright yellow and sunny yellow, and add lavender purple and light blue near the mane for a rainbow look.
- 6Optional: Leave the eye shine, the forehead, and the castle window highlights white so the drawing sparkles.
