A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the sky and hills: fill the distant mountains with periwinkle blue and the night sky corners with pale sky blue, leaving the moon and snowflakes white.
- 2Paint the church spire and its tip in cherry red, then color the tower walls, front wall and clock face in golden yellow.
- 3Color the left and middle house walls and doors in peach pink, and the right house walls and window frames in golden yellow, keeping all snow-covered roofs white.
- 4Fill the river under the bridge with river blue, and color the garden path with sand beige and the lamp posts with a light touch of sand beige.
- 5Add forest green to the evergreen trees on the left and right, and sage green to the hill tops, keeping the snowy branches and ground white.
- 6Optional: shade the chimney smoke and stone bridge walls with light gray and slate gray for a softer, moonlit look.
