Snowy Gingerbread House Behind a Candy Cane Fence

Coloring guide
Front and center is a cozy gingerbread cottage with thick icing snow draped over the roof and dripping down in pointed icicles. A big swirled peppermint candy decorates the front gable, ringed by round candy dots, and wavy lines of frosting cross the walls. The arched wooden door carries a wreath with a bow, and each of the two windows has a little snowy cap. On the right, a brick chimney rises with a snow topper, and striped candy canes make a fence across the front. Two snow-covered evergreens stand on either side, with snowflakes and round snowballs filling the sky. Large shapes and small details sit side by side, so a range of ages can enjoy it. Warm browns and tans suit the walls, and red and green work nicely for the peppermint and wreath. It's a free printable that fits a holiday afternoon well. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the gingerbread walls, gable, and fence posts in caramel brown, leaving the snowy ridges and frosting dots white.
- 2Fill the roof edges, gable drips, and gable top with chocolate brown, then color the roof snow cap in ice blue.
- 3Color the door, arch details, and chimney bricks in bright red, and fill the window panes with sky blue while the window tops get light yellow and golden yellow.
- 4Color the three trees in forest green, leaving the snow patches on their branches white, then add the wreath in forest green on the door.
- 5Color the candy canes bright red with white stripes, use coral on the left cane, and make the cane hooks light gray. Finish the peppermint swirl with blush pink on one section and leave the rest white.
- 6Optional: Add a light touch of extra shading on the walls and roof edges to make the gingerbread look more dimensional.
