A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the skin: fill the face, arms, chest, and legs with light peach, leaving the eye whites and the ankle highlights white.
- 2Color the curly hair, the hair tuft, and the bow curl with lemon yellow, and the flag with lemon yellow too, then give the flag pole a golden yellow stripe.
- 3Fill the mailbox body and flap with cherry red, the mailbox opening with bright red, and the inner side with dark red. Color the wooden post wood brown.
- 4Color the big heart, the small hearts, and the arrow hearts with raspberry red, the letter heart with baby pink, and the blue cloth with sky blue, keeping the wings, diaper edge, and shoulder strap white.
- 5Paint the flowers with violet purple, lilac purple, hot pink, and tangerine orange, then add leaf green to the stems and leaves and leave the grass white.
- 6Optional: add a little shading with a slightly darker tone of each color along the edges to give the drawing more depth.
