Spring Flower Easter Basket with Tulips, Daffodils and Daisies

Spring flowers spill out of a tall woven basket with an arched, braided handle. Three tulips rise at the back, two ruffle-centered daffodils sit in the middle, and three big daisies bloom along the front, with leaves filling the gaps. A large ribbon bow with long tails is tied at the center of the brick-style weave. On the ground in front rest two decorated eggs, one with wavy stripes and dots and the other with little flowers. Short tufts of grass sit in the bottom corners. Large petals and open shapes are friendly for kids still gaining confidence with crayons, while the weave and egg patterns keep older children busy with detail. Yellow daffodils, red and pink tulips, and a bright purple bow that really stands out would be a nice combination. Print the free PDF at home for a classroom project or weekend craft. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the big pink bow in the middle with hot pink, including both loops, the tails and the small center knot.
- 2Fill the tulips with tomato red and the daffodil petals with golden yellow, then color the daffodil centers tangerine orange and the small back petals soft pink.
- 3Color the leaves with leaf green and the grass at the bottom left with forest green.
- 4Fill the woven basket and its handle with caramel brown, using chestnut brown on the darker weave sections and handle edges.
- 5Color the right egg lavender purple, and the left egg with olive green on top, a golden yellow stripe and a sky blue stripe at the bottom.
- 6Leave the daisies and the background white. Optional: add a little darker shading on one side of the petals and the basket for depth.
