Squirrel Holding a Nut Beside Maple Leaves

A squirrel sits upright with its body turned slightly to the side while its face looks straight out at you. Its big round eyes, small nose, whiskers and pointed ears are all drawn with clear outlines. One front paw holds a nut that has a chewed, bumpy spot on top, and the other paw rests down low. The huge bushy tail curves up behind the squirrel, filled with long flowing fur lines. Behind it, several leaves with pointed edges fill the upper left corner, and a few wavy ground lines sit near the bottom. This free printable page is a nice fit for fall units. Try soft grays and browns for the fur, then ask kids to pick leaf colors that match what they see outside.
