Standing Wolf Looking Back Over Its Shoulder

Standing Wolf Looking Back Over Its Shoulder coloring page

Coloring guide

A lean wolf stands in side view with its body facing left while its head turns back toward the right, as if it just heard something behind it. The drawing shows a pointed snout, one watchful eye with a small shaded patch around it, and two tall upright ears, with the nearer ear showing an inner ear shape. Jagged lines mark the fur on the cheek, chest and shoulder, and there are similar fur lines on the legs and along the belly. A bushy tail hangs low with a ragged tip, and a thin ground line runs beneath the paws. Try soft grays and tans for the body, then use a darker brown on the back and tail. The fur markings make good guides for shading, so kids can practice switching colors from one patch to the next. It also works well for a quick lesson on how wolves use their ears to listen. This free page prints cleanly on standard paper.
