Sweating Cartoon Earth Wiping Its Brow Earth Day

A smiling cartoon Earth with big round eyes and raised eyebrows stands on two skinny legs, holding a cloth in each hand. Drops of sweat fly off its head and sides, and little motion lines near the cloths make it look like it is busy mopping up. The globe has land shapes drawn across its body, including a few small island ovals that are fun to color. At the top, the words April 22 and EARTH DAY are written in bubble letters that are ready for markers or crayons. Try coloring the oceans blue and the continents green or brown, then ask kids why this Earth might be feeling hot and what small things people can do to help. This printable page works well for a classroom discussion or a quiet activity at home.
