Ten Trees Growing Around the Earth Like Wheel Spokes

A round globe sits in the center of the page with the continents of North and South America outlined in thick, bold lines. Around the globe, ten trees grow outward like spokes on a wheel, each with a short trunk attached to the planet and a big, puffy, cloud-shaped leafy top. Every tree points in a different direction, so some stand upright, some sit sideways and some hang upside down along the bottom. The wide, open shapes are easy for small hands to fill in. Try coloring the oceans blue and the land green or brown on the globe, then give each tree its own shade of green, or even switch to autumn colors. Print it for an Earth Day lesson and ask kids to point out North America and South America before they start coloring.
