The Grinch Meeting a Little Girl in the Snowy Village
Coloring guide
The Grinch stands bent forward in his scruffy, patched fur coat, grinning with a sly look and his long clawed fingers pressed together. Facing him is a small girl with pigtails tied in bows. She wears a scarf, a simple dress and fuzzy-topped boots, and she looks up at him with her hands clasped and a hopeful smile. Behind them are two snow-covered cottages with round and arched windows, chimneys with snow on top, and a tall pine tree, all on a snowy hill. The fur has lots of little tufts, so it suits kids who like detail work. Try green on the Grinch and a bright red scarf for the girl so she stands out against the white snow. - forest green

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the Grinch's coat: color the big red body and the side panels in bright red, leaving the white fur trim at the collar, sleeves, hem and boots untouched.
- 2Fill the Grinch's face, hands, arms, legs and ears with lime green, then add forest green on the tree and teal green on the bush by the house.
- 3Color the girl's dress and boots in soft pink, her scarf and hair bow in bright red, and her hair and pigtails in golden yellow, keeping the eye highlights white.
- 4Paint the houses: tan walls, chocolate brown chimneys, burnt orange doors and window frames, golden yellow window glow, and pale blue on the roof snow edges.
- 5Add peach to the girl's face, neck, hands and sock, and use sky blue on the small ledge under the left house window.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading under the Grinch's coat and along the girl's dress folds to make the scene pop; leave the snow and background white.
