Thomas the Tank Engine Gets a Soapy Bath

A smiling steam engine with the number 1 on its side gets a bubbly wash while sitting on a short stretch of track. A man in a collared shirt stands on a ladder at the front of the engine, scrubbing its face as suds and splashing water fly up over the funnel. Foam clumps sit on the cab roof and boiler, and a few drops spray across the sky. On the left, a tall round water tower with a bent spout stands on a crossbraced base. A wooden bucket with a rope handle sits in the foreground, and puddles spread across the ground near the rails. Try coloring the bubbles and splashes in light blues and purples, then leave the engine's face bright and cheerful. Kids can also point out everything used for cleaning, like the bucket, the ladder, and the water tower. This printable page works well for a quiet afternoon.
