Three Dolphin Jumpers and a Little Sailboat

Three smiling dolphins leap in a diagonal line, stacked one above the other, each with a bright round eye, an open happy mouth and curved flippers. The largest is at the top, a medium one is in the middle, and the smallest stays low near the water. Big curling waves roll across the bottom, and drops of water fly around the tails. Further back, a small sailboat floats on calm water next to a straight horizon, with a puffy cloud on either side and three seagulls gliding overhead. The wide open shapes on the dolphins are easy for little hands. Soft blues and grays suit the dolphins, deeper teal works for the waves, and a red or yellow sail makes the boat pop. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the three dolphins' bodies, tails and fins with ocean blue, leaving the eyes and teeth white.
- 2Fill the pale belly stripe on each dolphin with light gray, keeping the white highlights.
- 3Color the clouds with pale sky blue and the small water splashes with bright sky blue, leaving their centers white.
- 4Paint the big waves with deep ocean blue and ocean blue, add aqua blue to the lighter wave edges, and keep the white foam crests white.
- 5Color the sailboat hull golden yellow and leave the sails and seagulls white.
- 6Optional: add a slightly darker blue line along the edges of the dolphins for a little depth.
