Three Little Birds Around a Wooden Birdhouse

A wooden birdhouse sits on a post in the middle of this garden scene, with one small bird perched on its peaked roof and wings spread as if singing. A second bird flies in from the upper right with both wings open, while a third bird stands on top of a picket fence at the lower left, looking up with big round eyes. The birdhouse has a round entrance hole, a little perch peg, and visible wood grain. Around it you will find a smiling sun with pointed rays, several puffy clouds, a rolling hill with bushes, a tulip-style bloom, and a large flower with rounded petals. Try coloring the three birds in different shades so kids can count and name them, then talk about where each one is: on the roof, in the air, and on the fence. This printable page works well for a quiet spring afternoon.
