Tea Party for Three Matryoshka Dolls
Coloring guide
Three smiling dolls sit around a small round table, each in a flower-patterned headscarf. The tallest sits in the middle with a knotted scarf at her chest and holds a teacup in both hands. The two smaller ones sit on wooden chairs at either side, and they have teacups too. On the table you'll find a teapot with a flower on its side, two more cups on saucers and a plate of round cookies. Flowers of different sizes cover the tablecloth. Behind the dolls, an arched window with a potted flower is on the left and a framed flower picture hangs on the right. Small hands will like the big flower shapes, and older kids can take on the cookies and scarf patterns. Print the free PDF and keep a few extra copies handy. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the window frames, the picture frame, the chair seats and legs, and the table legs in warm brown, and color the flower pot orange.
- 2Fill the window glass and the picture sky in light sky blue, leaving the small flower shapes white.
- 3Color the three headscarves: the left one bright blue, the center one tomato red, and the right one kelly green.
- 4Paint the faces peach, add rose pink cheeks, and color the hair warm brown, leaving the eye whites white.
- 5Fill the dresses and sleeves golden yellow, and the center doll's bodice and collar in crimson red, then color the shawls and aprons to match the example.
- 6Finish the tablecloth, teapot, teacups, and saucers in cream, keeping the flower patterns and the cookie plate white for a fresh look. Optional: add slightly darker shading in the same color for depth.
