Tiny Pumpkin Perched on a Trick-or-Treat Candy Pile

On top of a heaping pile of sweets sits a cheerful little pumpkin with big shiny eyes and a tiny smile. Around it you'll find two swirly lollipops on sticks, a polka-dot wrapped candy, a striped wrapped candy, several candy corn pieces and a square chocolate bar with four panels. The pumpkin has a curly vine on top and lined ridges that are fun to shade. Outlines are bold and shapes fairly large, so it works for preschoolers and early elementary kids, and as a free printable it fits a classroom party or a quiet afternoon. Bright orange for the pumpkin and green for the stem is one idea, then give the candy corn yellow, orange and white stripes and make each lollipop swirl a different color. Looking for more? A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the big pumpkin body and both sides in orange, then fill the stem in leaf green, leaving the curly tendril white.
- 2Fill the candy corn pieces: yellow tips and bottoms, orange bands, and red and burnt orange middles, leaving their white stripes white.
- 3Color the wrapped candies: blue striped candies with sky blue wrappers, purple wrappers on the polka dot candy, and orange and red striped candies on the left.
- 4Color the chocolate bar squares in chocolate brown, keeping the gaps between them and the background white.
- 5Color the two lollipop swirls in lime green and rose pink, leaving the sticks white. Add yellow dots to the purple polka dot candy.
- 6Optional: add a darker shade of orange along the edges of the pumpkin and candies to make them look rounder.
