- 1Start with the big hair areas: fill Barbie's flowing hair and the lower curls with golden yellow, and the friend's ponytail and hair with golden yellow too.
- 2Color the skin areas, faces, shoulders, arms and hands with peach, leaving the small eye whites and the bright highlights on the hair white.
- 3Fill the tails and the mermaid fins: use violet purple for the scales on the lower tail, lilac for the fin near the rock, and emerald green for the fin on the right.
- 4Add the dresses and tops: light pink for the friend's bodice, hot pink and blush pink for the skirts, and peach or rose pink for the flowers.
