A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big skirts: color the left princess's long dress in hot pink and the right princess's gown in sky blue, leaving the white trim and lighter panels for later.
- 2Fill the lighter panels of the pink skirt with light pink and rose pink, and the lighter panels of the blue gown with light blue.
- 3Color the skin areas (faces, arms, hands, necks, and shoulders) with peach skin, and leave the eye whites and the small highlights white.
- 4Add the hair in warm brown on the left princess and butter yellow on the right princess, then color the tiaras and the right princess's tiara trim with golden yellow.
- 5Finish with the sash, the bodice scales in pale pink and blush pink, the sandals and shoes, and the necklace; leave the background and the gap between the princesses white.
- 6Optional: add a few darker strokes of hot pink and sky blue along the folds of the skirts to make the dresses look fuller.
