Two Party-Hat Hatchimals Ringing in 2017

Two fluffy Hatchimals creatures sit side by side in party hats on this New Year page, and each hat says 2017. The left hat is covered in stars and ends in a point, while the right one has starbursts and a feathery pom-pom on top. Both creatures have big shiny eyes, small beaks and rounded wings, and one leans back with its feet up in the air. Stars, confetti, streamers and fireworks fill the background. Across the top, the Hatchimals logo arches over a little egg, and HATCHY NEW YEAR! runs along the bottom in bubble letters. Big letters and wide open areas work for younger kids, and the confetti and star patterns give older kids more to tackle. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the left Hatchimal's body, tail and side wing with sky blue, then color the right Hatchimal's lower body and foot area with hot pink.
- 2Color the left Hatchimal's belly with pale yellow and its claws and foot with orange, adding golden yellow to the small claw tip.
- 3Color the left party hat and its stars with lavender purple, and the right party hat with sky blue, leaving the star outlines and the little white spots open.
- 4Fill the title letters with hot pink and the big banner letters with lemon yellow, adding a few light blue spots at the bottom of the banner and leaving the outlines and shine highlights white.
- 5Finish the faces: color the beaks in orange and lemon yellow, add red mouths, use light pink on the right Hatchimal's face, and color the top star and sunburst lemon yellow. Keep the background white.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading along the edges of the bodies and party hats for extra depth.
