Two Baby Zebras Bounding Through a Flower Meadow

Coloring guide
Two young zebras bounce through a meadow, mouths open in happy smiles as they look at one another. The larger one on the right leaps with its front hooves tucked up and its tufted tail swishing, while the smaller one on the left trots along beside it with big sparkly eyes and a spiky mane. Curved stripes wrap around both bodies and legs, so there's lots of room to practice careful coloring. Grass tufts and small five-petal flowers dot the ground, and rounded bushes sit behind them. Give each zebra classic black stripes, then add pink, yellow and purple to the flowers and bright green to the grass. This free printable is a good fit for preschoolers and early elementary kids who love animals. Looking for more? Our Chicken and Shark coloring pages pair nicely with this Zebra page.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the bushes in the background and the rest of the leafy areas, filling them in leafy green.
- 2Color the small grass tufts and the grassy patches on the ground in light green.
- 3Fill the inside of both zebras' ears with coral pink, and the zebra's nose on the left in warm gray.
- 4Use charcoal gray for the manes, the tails, the hooves, and the darker stripes on the bodies and legs.
- 5Leave the zebras' faces, bodies, and legs white, and keep the eye whites and shiny highlights untouched.
- 6Optional: add a little extra charcoal gray along the edges of the bodies for a bit of shading and depth.
