Hopping Bunnies in a Sunny Poppy Meadow
Coloring guide
Two happy bunnies bound across a grassy meadow, each with a wide smile, big eyes, long whiskers and a fluffy tail. One leaps in the upper left, and the other, up front, stretches out mid-hop with its ears standing tall. Tall grass blades, several open poppy-style flowers with detailed centers and a few buds on slender stems surround them. Up in the sky, three butterflies flutter near a bright sun with rays, and soft bushes line the horizon. Kids get both big areas and tiny details to fill in with the grass and flowers. Try soft tan and light gray on the bunnies, red or orange on the poppies and sunny yellow on the sun. Print or download it free to add to your growing coloring stack. Looking for more? - cream

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big grassy areas: color the meadow grass and the hill bushes in lime green, then add grass green to the darker blades near the bottom and edges.
- 2Fill the brown bunny's head, body, belly and tall ear in warm brown, keeping its cream tail, cheek and muzzle light and leaving the eye shine white.
- 3Color the gray bunny in light gray, then add cream to its tail and muzzle and baby pink to its inner ears.
- 4Paint the poppies: bright orange for the flowers on the left and right, and poppy red for the large front and bottom right blooms. Color the flower buds and stems deep green.
- 5Add the butterflies in rose pink, lavender purple and golden yellow, then finish the mouth in coral red and leave the sun and background white.
- 6Optional: add a few darker strokes of warm brown under the brown bunny and grass green in the shadowed grass to give the scene more depth.
