Two Rows of Matryoshka Dolls Facing Each Other

Two Rows of Matryoshka Dolls Facing Each Other coloring sheet

Coloring guide

Two lines of nesting dolls face each other across the page, each line shrinking from a large doll in front to tiny ones far in the back. That makes 14 dolls in all, 7 per side, and the two sides mirror each other. Every doll wears a headscarf, has round cheeks, a small mouth and wide eyes, and holds her hands at her sides. The biggest dolls have a large daisy on the belly, flower details on the collar, and a scalloped border with tiny flowers near the bottom. Smaller dolls have little blossoms on their middles, and long shadows stretch along the ground beneath them. Try coloring the dolls in a gradual shade change, like dark red at the front fading to pale pink at the back, so kids can see how the size and color shift together. The free printable also works well for a lesson on symmetry, since you can color both sides to match or choose different palettes for each.
