Upright Baby Koala Cradling a Leafy Twig

A cute baby koala sits upright and hugs a thin leafy branch against its chest. Its big round ears are full of fluffy fur, and the inner ear circles are left open for coloring. The koala has large shiny eyes looking up and to the side, a big oval nose with a highlight, and a small curved mouth. One paw grips the branch near its face while the other paw rests lower down. The round belly and chunky feet are tucked in at the bottom. The branch has several pointed leaves with center veins on the right side. Try soft grays and browns for the fur, then pick two or three greens for the leaves so each one looks a little different. Kids can leave the nose and eye highlights white for a glossy look. It also works well for a short lesson about what koalas eat. This page is free to print and has big, easy shapes for small hands.
