Fresh Vegetable Plate with Broccoli, Cucumber and Cherry Tomatoes

One big round plate piled high with fresh veggies is the star here. There are cucumber slices, small whole and halved cherry tomatoes, bunches of broccoli florets, a fan of long veggie sticks and curved strips that look like sliced peppers. The plate rests on a table with a wood-plank texture. Along the top are a heart-decorated pot with a leafy plant, a bowl of dip with a leaf on top, and a glass of sparkling drink with a lime slice next to a salt shaker. On the right you'll find a fork and a dotted napkin. Loose tomatoes, a whole cucumber with slices, scattered leaves and a few flowers fill the corners. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big wooden table background: fill the wood grain areas in wood tan, leaving the plate and bowl for later.
- 2Color the round plate's cucumber slices in pale lime, and the cherry tomatoes in tomato red, leaving the small shiny spots on the tomatoes white.
- 3Fill the broccoli florets in broccoli green, then add the carrot sticks in carrot orange and the yellow pepper strips in golden yellow.
- 4Paint the dip in the bowl cream, the lemon drink in pale yellow, and the glass and salt shaker in ice blue and steel gray.
- 5Color the blue napkin and the fork handle in denim blue and light gray, then add the dark green cucumber peel and grass green window trees.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading on the broccoli and cucumber edges to make the vegetables look fuller, and leave the flower petals and pot hearts white.
