Farmhouse Garden Full of Watermelons

Five big striped watermelons sit in a leafy patch, and the biggest one takes up the center of the page. Curly vines, ruffled leaves, and small five-petal flowers wind between them, leaving lots of little spaces to color. Farther back, a wooden fence runs along a field, and a cozy farmhouse with a chimney and pitched roof stands near tall, narrow trees. The sky has rolling hills, puffy clouds, and a sun with long rays. Deep and light greens work for the rinds, and bright yellow or pink makes the flowers stand out from the leaves. Large shapes mixed with fine detail make this a good choice for a wide range of ages. Print it free for a quiet afternoon or a garden lesson.
