Two smiling watermelon slices lean back in striped beach lounge chairs. Both wear big sunglasses and rest their hands behind their heads, with little feet sticking out in front. Their triangle bodies show seeds and a thick rind edge. A large striped umbrella shades them, and the sky behind has ocean waves, a round sun and two puffy clouds. In the sand below there's a sandcastle with a tiny flag on top, a bucket, a small shovel, a starfish and two seashells. This free printable has lots of small spaces for kids to work on. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the sea and sky: color the ocean waves in ocean blue, and the sun in golden yellow.
- 2Fill both watermelon slices with watermelon red, leaving the small seeds and the pink smiles for later.
- 3Color the watermelon rinds in light green and the arms and legs in lime green.
- 4Paint the umbrella panels in golden orange, tangerine orange and red, and the sandcastle and sand in sand yellow.
- 5Add the chair stripes in bright blue, leaf green and sky blue, and the bucket in ocean blue.
- 6Optional: Finish with details: color the glasses frames in bright blue, leave the lens shines white, and add the pink mouths and starfish in orange.
