A small striped watermelon hangs from a curling vine, with a big open flower above it and a smiling bee zipping past. The bee has a fuzzy striped body and two antennae, and a dashed line trails behind it to show where it has flown. Large lobed leaves spread out on both sides of the vine, swirly tendrils twist around the plant, and a flower bud sits on the left. Behind it all are a wooden fence, bushy hedges, and puffy clouds, while the ground has pebbles, dirt patches, and grass tufts. The wavy melon lines and veined leaves leave lots of tiny spaces to fill. Use several greens on the leaves and stripes, and bright pink or yellow on the flower so it stands out. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the big flower petals and the bee's head and body with golden yellow, leaving the little center stamens white.
- 2Color the large leaves, the vines' leaves, the bushes and the grass blades with grass green, staying inside the lines.
- 3Color the watermelon: lime green for the lighter stripes and the middle, then forest green for the darker stripes at the sides and bottom.
- 4Fill the soil and ground with brown, and color the fence posts with warm tan; add a little sky blue to the top-left cloud corner.
- 5Optional: add a darker green shadow along one side of the leaves and a little brown shadow under the watermelon for depth.
