Wrapped from head to toe in crisscrossing bandage strips, a cheerful little mummy waves hello with one raised hand. Loose bandage ends dangle from the head, the waving arm and the other arm. The child has big round eyes, a wide open smile and a small tuft of hair peeking out near the forehead. At the mummy's feet sits a small round pumpkin with a curly stem, two shiny eyes and a happy grin. There's no background, so the page stays clean and uncluttered for little hands. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the pumpkin: fill its round body with pumpkin orange, leaving the eyes and smile white or lightly colored.
- 2Color the whole mummy's bandages in soft cream, including the head wrap, arms, body, legs and hanging tails, and leave the white parts of the eyes untouched.
- 3Fill the face, raised hand, lowered hand and neck with peach skin, and add a coral pink open mouth.
- 4Color the messy hair patch on the forehead dark brown, then add leafy green to the pumpkin stem and its little tip.
- 5Optional: add a little gentle shading in the shadowed folds of the bandages with a slightly darker cream so the wrapping looks more rounded.
