Wheelchair Basketball Friends Reaching for the Ball
Coloring guide
A boy and a girl in sport wheelchairs both smile and reach up for a basketball floating between them, a joyful scene for little sports fans. They each wear a sleeveless V-neck jersey, shorts, socks and sneakers. The boy has short tousled hair and the girl has a long ponytail. Big spoked wheels and small front caster wheels give you lots of detail to color. Behind them there's a hoop with a net and backboard, a court line on the ground, a low fence or wall and a couple of rounded bushes. Red jerseys for one player and blue for the other, plus an orange ball, would look good. Print this sheet at home for a classroom project or weekend craft. - 2Color the boy's jersey and shorts in royal blue and the girl's jersey and shorts in bright red, keeping the thin trim areas white.
- 3Fill the faces, arms and hands in light peach, then color the boy's hair in chestnut brown and the girl's hair and ponytail in golden yellow.
- 4Paint the basketball in vivid orange, then add the hoop pole in royal blue and the wheelchair frames and footrests in sky blue and steel gray.
- 5Color the wheels and seat parts in apricot and clay orange, and keep the socks and shoe laces white.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading on the court and under the wheels with the same colors to make the scene feel more lively.
