Winged Steam Train Leaping Off a Hilly Track

Coloring guide
A cheerful steam locomotive with a smiling face tips up on its back wheels as if it is leaping off a hilly track. Two small feathered wings stick out from the top of the engine, and a tall smokestack sends up confetti, streamers and a pair of music notes. The boiler is covered in rivets and panels, and you can see the big spoked drive wheels, a rod linking them, and the slatted cowcatcher on the front. A bird flies nearby, and below there are rolling hills, a winding road, a small building, a pond and a plowed field with trees. The wings and confetti pieces are good for trying different patterns. Kids could color each confetti scrap a different bright shade, then use metallic gray tones for the riveted metal body. This free printable works well for a story prompt about where the train is flying.
