Starry Witch Hat with Moons and Buckle

Coloring guide
One tall pointed witch hat with a bent, curled tip fills the whole page, which keeps the shapes roomy for small hands. A wide band with a big square buckle circles the base of the cone. Five outlined stars and two crescent moons are scattered across the cone, and the curved brim carries two more moons and two more stars. Bold lines and generous spaces make it a good match for preschoolers and early elementary kids using crayons or chunky markers. Deep purple for the hat, bright yellow for the stars and moons, and shiny gold or orange for the buckle is one way to go. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the tall hat body and the wide brim in royal blue, starting with the big areas and leaving the moons and stars for later.
- 2Fill the inside of the buckle square with royal blue as well, so it matches the hat.
- 3Color the two sections of the belt on each side of the buckle in bright red.
- 4Color the thick frame of the buckle in golden yellow, then fill the small bar inside the buckle with bright yellow.
- 5Fill all the moons and stars on the hat and the brim with bright yellow, keeping their outlines dark and clean.
- 6Optional: add a few light strokes of a darker blue along one side of the hat to give it a little depth.
