Wolf Standing Beside a Tree on Rocks
Coloring guide
A single wolf stands in side view with its head turned back toward us, ears upright and eyes looking straight out of the page. Its body is drawn with rough, jagged fur lines along the back, chest, and shoulders, and a thick bushy tail hangs down at the right with a ragged tip. Behind the wolf, a tall tree trunk with bark patterns and a couple of knot holes rises to the top edge of the page. The wolf's paws rest on uneven rocky ground along the bottom. The large open areas on the body are easy for small hands to fill in. Try gray, tan, and cream pencils, then use darker shades around the face, ears, and tail tip to show where the fur changes. Brown and soft gray work well for the bark and stones. This printable page also works for a quick talk about how wolves look and where they live.
