Wolf Standing on a Rocky Ledge Looking Left

Wolf Standing on a Rocky Ledge Looking Left coloring page

Coloring guide

A single wolf stands in side view on a flat, rough-edged rock ledge, with its head turned toward the left and its eyes looking down and ahead. The thick fur is drawn with lots of short, scratchy lines, especially around the neck, chest, and shoulders, and the bushy tail hangs down behind it. Its ears are pointed and upright. Behind the wolf, a row of rounded, scalloped bushes fills the background, and a large angled rock with crack lines sits in the bottom left corner. The sky is left completely open. Try soft grays, creamy whites, and pale browns for the fur, and use the short lines as a guide for where to add darker strokes. It's also a nice prompt for talking about how wolves' thick coats help them stay warm outdoors. This printable page works well for quiet time at home or in the classroom.
