Wolf Standing with Head Lowered and Bushy Tail

Wolf Standing with Head Lowered and Bushy Tail coloring page

Coloring guide

A single wolf stands in side view with its head bowed toward the ground, eyes closed or narrowed and mouth slightly open. Its ears are pointed and upright, and a ruffled mane of fur runs along the neck and back. The legs are planted wide apart, with visible toes and claws on each paw. A long, full tail sweeps out behind the body and tapers to a point, drawn with lots of thin fur strokes. Light pencil-style lines on the chest, shoulder and legs suggest fluffy fur, and there is no background, so the wolf has plenty of white space around it. Try coloring it in layers: a light gray base, then darker strokes following the fur lines on the tail and shoulders. Kids can also compare the colors of gray wolves and arctic wolves. This free printable suits a wide range of ages and skill levels.
