Young Chef Tossing Pizza Dough Up High

Coloring guide
A cheerful boy in a tall chef's hat has flung a round of pizza dough high over his head, and little motion lines show it spinning. His shirt sleeves are rolled up, an apron is tied in a bow at his waist, and both hands are raised while he grins up at the dough. The kitchen is simple to color. A shelf on the left holds a small potted plant and two bowls, a rail on the right has a spatula and a spoon hanging from it, and the counter in front has a bowl of flour or dough, a rolling pin and a lidded jar. Younger kids can handle the big shapes of the hat, apron and dough, while the plant leaves and utensils give older kids more to do. Golden tan for the dough, bright red for the apron and a crisp white hat would look great. Free to print for a cooking-themed afternoon. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big background areas: color the kitchen cabinets and counter in sea green and caramel tan, leaving the small knobs and the wall shelf unpainted.
- 2Fill the flying dough in pale butter yellow, then color the chef's face, ears and raised arms in skin peach, keeping the eye whites and the teeth white.
- 3Color the apron in royal blue, and use light blue for the sleeves, the hat band and the apron ties, leaving the shirt front and collar white.
- 4Paint the hair dark brown and the chef hat top white, then add the bowl of dough, the rolling pin and the cherry red bowl rim.
- 5Add the small details: lemon yellow bowls, burnt orange flower pot, grass green leaves, and light gray spatula and spoon, leaving the flower petals white.
- 6Optional: Add a little shading on the apron and the dough with a slightly darker shade of the same color to make them look rounder.
